London Pulse develops partnership with Physique Management

London’s elite netball franchise London Pulse are paving the way for VNSL clubs when it comes to sponsorship and partnership opportunities. By creating partnerships with a variety of relevant and exciting brands, we aim to raise the profile of netball in the city, as well as to provide a wide range of benefits for the companies who choose to partner with us. In these challenging times for UK netball, London Pulse are putting the community at the heart of everything we do. These partnerships strengthen our franchise at all levels, from pathway to Superleague athletes, to fans and volunteers, and enable us to strive towards our goals for growth, engagement and high-performance.

“We are looking for long and strong relationships with partners,” said CEO and Director of Netball, Sam Bird. “It’s part of the process to try and turn London Pulse into a fully professional club.”

Another step forward on this journey is our partnership with Physique Management, who provide physio and injury prevention supplies. This includes Tiger Tapes, something netballers are rarely seen without.

“Physique’s Tiger Tapes are essential, there is no other way to describe it,” said VNSL London Pulse player, Lindsay Keable. “It is something that every netballer always needs in some shape or form, whether it’s taping feet and ankles or fingers and wrists. It’s something you cannot overlook on a game day.”

Ankles are very vulnerable in netball, and Physique provides a huge variety of tapes that our players use for strapping both at training and in matches. This partnership will ensure our athletes can feel their best on court and give them the confidence to perform on the elite stage. It is particularly important for players who may have suffered from injuries in the past, such as VNSL London Pulse player, Halimat Adio.

“I’m the type of person that if I don’t have my tape I don’t feel as comfortable or confident, especially as I’ve had a history of quite a few ankle sprains. Having Tiger Tapes with us gives us that confidence so we know that before training and matches we’ll always be able to feel comfortable when we get out on court.”

This new partnership is not just for our elite superleague players but will be a positive partnership for all athletes within the London Pulse pathway. All of our age groups will get access to a discount code for products at Physique, which will also help ensure younger athletes have access to products that will help them look after themselves properly and get into good training habits.

As the athleticism of our game continues to develop, it is vital that netball stays ahead of the curve when it comes to injury prevention, and our partnership with Physique is a fantastic step in the right direction.

Charlie Preston, Partnerships Manager at Physique said

“Player welfare and injury recovery is essential to the success of a team. That’s why we’re so pleased to be partnering with London Pulse to provide their players with everything they need to help keep them fit, healthy and confident on the court.”
