London Pulse VNSL announce 2020 squad!

London Pulse were thrilled to announce their 2020 VNSL Squad last week, with the help of the new players’ family members, 13 players have been announced so far out of a possible 15.

First up are the shooters. South African Sigi Burger’s joins the London Pulse family after two seasons at Surrey Storm, Sigi will bring flair and experience in the circle and will be one to watch after her teams recent success in the African Nations cup. Next we welcome back our very own long-bomb Queen Chiara Semple who returns to London Pulse for another season. Olivia Tchine and Kira Rothwell represents a massive part of the London Pulse family, both players have been with London Pulse since the club’s formation as an NPL team in 2017 and we look forward to seeing this mix of youth and experience in the shooting circle.

Our mid-court players include Jamaican international Adean Thomas who will be making her Superleague debut with London Pulse this season after playing at the World Cup in July. Michelle Drayne, joins Pulse after 5 years at Saracens Mavericks. Michelle has also had a highly successful summer, representing Northern Ireland at the NWC. We welcome Chloe Gregory into the VNSL squad as a former member of our successful Under 21 squad and Ashleigh Dekker formerly of Wasps Netball Academy set up, who both add youth and fitness to complete an exciting lineup in our mid court.

Finally we are delighted to announce the London Pulse defensive unit for the 2020 season. Kiwi, Kate Lloyd joins us having played in the ANZ Premiership in New Zealand for Mainland Tactix. England Futures star Halimat Adio who has most recently played at Netball Europe for England and played in the VNSL last season for Severn Stars. Young Roses star, Zara Everitt and ex-Mavericks player Lindsay Keable have also signed with London Pulse for the 2020 Season. Our final player announcement was the fantastic Funmi Fadoju who has most recently represented England Netball at the Netball Europe U21s tournament and is also has been part of the club since its formation.
