Shoot 4 Pink

April 17th, 2019

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Netball Superleague team London Pulse to officially launch the charities SHOOT4PINK initiative.  The partnership will see the first annual celebrity and pro netball match, taking place at the Copper Box Arena on the afternoon of Saturday 27th April 2019 before London Pulse take on Loughborough Lightening in Round 17 of the Superleague.

SHOOT4PINK will be the Foundation’s first annual celebrity and pro netball match and many of the charity’s celebrity supporters have already signed up to take part including Jess Impiazzi, Lizzie Cundy, Nina Wadia, Freja Budd, Sally Morgan and Nadia Essex. The Pink Ribbon Foundation are keen to stress that no previous experience or knowledge of the game is required; they are simply looking for individuals who are keen to take part in an exciting event which will raise much needed awareness and money to fight breast cancer, which will affect 1 in 8 women during their lifetime.

Two teams will go head-to-head in the SHOOT4PINK match, with the teams being a mix of pro netball players from the London Pulse U21’s and celebrities.  Press and media will attend and cover the event and there will be a VIP area for photo call opportunities and media interviews.  During the day there will also be bucket collections for the charity and time out games with prizes – attendees will also be encouraged to wear PINK in support of the cause.

Lisa Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships, PR and Events at the Pink Ribbon Foundation said, “The Pink Ribbon Foundation want to keep women fit and healthy and increase breast awareness.  It has been proven that a healthy diet and exercise can reduce the risk of breast cancer by up to a third, so our new partnership with London Pulse is not only relevant, it will also enable us to promote this message in a fun and engaging way.  We are very excited to be working with Natalie and everyone at London Pulse and look forward to our future FUNdraising events and initiatives”.

Natalie Seaton, CEO of London Pulse said, “London Pulse are delighted to partner with the Pink Ribbon Foundation. The promotion of women’s health and fitness are paramount in our long-term vision for the future of London Pulse. Promoting breast awareness through our elite athletes and netball to raise awareness in conjunction with the Pink Ribbon Foundation is a positive and proactive message to all our London Pulse fans and followers”

About the Pink Ribbon Foundation:

The Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.  The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount, which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
