LONDON PULSE IS PROUD TO SUPPORT PINK RIBBON FOUNDATION.

December 13th, 2019

As we approach Christmas we are training hard and looking forward to the 2020 VNSL Season, but the end of the year is also a time to reflect and many of us will also be thinking about friends and family who we have lost or who are going through treatment for long term illnesses. As an all-female squad every member of London Pulse has a story to tell about how breast cancer has affected someone they know and love, so it made absolute sense that we work to fight against this terrible disease which affects so many women.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.

Every year the Foundation invites charities in the UK to apply for a grant in order to help them continue their vital work or to fund one off projects. Some of the many charities who have benefitted from a grant from the Foundation include: The Haven, Cancerkin, Action Against Breast Cancer, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and many more.

For many of the smaller charities, a grant from the Pink Ribbon Foundation can make a huge difference. It can provide a highly skilled programme of care, complimentary therapies, counselling for patients and their families, up-date communication materials, awareness programmes, lymphedema care, therapy sessions, specialist equipment extra nurses to care for breast cancer patients, vital research into this terrible disease and much more.

London Pulse is delighted to be an official supporter of Pink Ribbon Foundation for 2020. Working with our team members and fans we hope to raise several thousand pounds for the trust, enabling them to carry on their invaluable work. This season we are pleased to confirm that “Shoot 4 Pink” will take place on Sunday 29th March 2020. We look forward to welcoming a number of Pink Ribbon Trustees and some very special guests to play in a Celebrity game prior to the VNSL squad taking on Strathclyde Sirens.

Book your tickets today for this fantastic event and you can support Pink Ribbon by making a donation online at the time of booking.
